Sandpiper Close is a collection of 3 and 4 bedroom contemporary properties to be built in Appledore, Kent. The site consists of five 3-bedroom social houses, which will be built to Passive House Plus standards, along with one 3-bedroom private dwelling, two 4-bedroom pairs of semi-detached houses and four detached 4-bedroom houses. Each property combines a material palette of fair-faced bricks, render, dark stained timber cladding and zine seamed roofs.

The private properties all have garages with front driveways providing several parking spaces with bin and bike stores. Each house has a generous open plan kitchen, designed to provide ample natural lighting, and dining spaces overlooking the large private gardens with floor to ceiling glazing. Some of the properties have double-height spaces with large high level glazed top lights over the dining room areas and entrance hallways. Each property will be fitted with bespoke joinery, handmade kitchens and a high standard of finishes.

The houses have been designed individually to suit a wide variety of residents, so each property is slightly unique in both its external appearance and internal layout. Some have snug/playrooms as additional reception rooms, some have a ground floor guest bedroom, some have multiple en-suite bathrooms but all have very generous ceiling heights with large amounts of glazing to let in natural light.
